Today Bob and I were discussing our goals for next year and where we would like to be in 3 and 5 years from now. A lot of this has to do with personal growth and growth as a couple. We have been married for 38+ years and have big dreams and plans for the future.
One of our goals is to be completely out of debt and be able to travel. About a year ago we were introduced to this debt elimination/wealth building system. We talked to our representative and discussed how and if the program would work for us. We had a lot of debt at the time… and I want to emphasize the work “had”.
We had 14 years left on our mortgage, two car payments, credit card debt, school debt, and was helping family members. We really did not have any extra money to pay down any of our debt other than keep making monthly payments. Being the skeptical person that I am, and I can tell you I asked a lot of questions.
When we first looked into the program, it was projected that we would be out of debt in 6.1 years and be able to save thousands of dollars that would have gone towards paying interest and finance charges. We began following the system. Now, in just a little over a year later, we are down to being out of debt in 4.1 years and have saved over $23,000 in interest.
